All the boho love for today's styled shoot concept which was devised by Lauren of LBC Weddings and Events:

“I wanted to ensure we captured and showcased exactly how authentic this venue really is and I thought the best way to do this was to enhance the natural festival vibe and create a boho theme using rustic props and dried flowers. I wanted this to follow the eco-friendly style of the location. The colour theme was neutrals bringing in hints of light pinks, taupe and burnt oranges. The beautiful stretch tent was the perfect frame for creating this boho, eco-friendly shoot.”

Waterbridge Weddings is a one-of-a-kind venue based in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. This exclusive venue offers a secluded unique setting to host your dream wedding. Whether you're looking for something simple or the full works, Waterbridge Weddings have packages to suit all budgets; they even have glamping options for the whole wedding party.

The Bride & Groom

Lauren describes her choice of styling for the couple: “The bride wore the vintage-vibed Cyrene dress from Indiebride London, with loose sleeves and a bell-shaped skirt that flows beautifully with every movement. The back of the dress has an opening detail that is framed with lace trimming. When originally speaking to Ema from Ema Bridal, I wanted her to create a soft glam look using only brown tones and a soft curly hairstyle with a loose plait incorporated. However, on the day Ema advised me that the model's hair wouldn’t hold a loose curl and she recommended an updo which ended up working perfectly with the cut out back in the dress. For the groom, I wanted to keep with the neutral colours and had him wearing a relaxed beige suit by Mr Macky’s through Ann Bridal with no tie.”

The Stationery

The ‘Luxe Palm’ stationery suite by PS Weddings combines elegance and romance through its blush tones and soft florals. An understated boho design accompanied by a swooping handwritten typeface makes such a statement upon opening, especially when teamed with a wax seal. The handmade and textured paper all contribute to its earthy and romantic look and feel. Perfect for romantic, festival styled weddings.

The Ceremony

Alina from sustainability-minded Sara’s Event Flowers created all the florals for the shoot, and as

Lauren explains: “After speaking to the talented Alina and showing her my mood boards, she knew exactly how to bring my vision to life. Alina knew straight away that dried flowers were the perfect option for the boho styled shoot which also followed the eco-friendly vibe. Pampas grass was very on-trend in 2020 and looks amazing when trying to create the boho style. Simply Rustic provided the rustic arch that we used for the ceremony set up and Alina transformed this by draping natural fabrics across the top and decorated it with exotic palms, palm leaves and dried grasses down each side of the arch. We had demijohn jars with dried flowers around the bottom of the arch which added a sense of depth and style to the ceremony.“

The Portraits

Clare did a wonderful job of capturing the beautiful styling of the day, as well as making the most of the character of the venue.

The Reception

“For the table layout we wanted to ensure we kept this simple by using recycled pots which we filled with dried flowers including bunny tails, naturally dried cotton stems and dried everlastings. We didn't use a traditional top table but had two peacock chairs and a matching boho styled table to add a fun and relaxed style to the wedding breakfast. Alina wanted to create a relaxed, simple and romantic look through her designs and with such a beautiful venue it was really easy to do so.“

The Wedding Cake

Lisa from The Elegant Rose Cake Studio is a wedding cake designer based in Peterborough. Her approach to wedding cakes is ‘less is more’ with a timeless and elegant style. For the boho and festival styled shoot, Lisa created a 3-tier cake that had a simple ivory fondant finish. With the theme being boho we went with a metallic gold circle frame which sat on the middle tier and this was adorned with dried foliage all in natural colours. In the centre was a single David Austin sugar rose which was the perfect finish to a simple yet elegant design.
